Three first-inning runs helped the California Warriors (8-4) to a 5-4 win over the Nevada Big Horns (4-6) at Western Nevada College on Wednesday.

The California Warriors scored in the first on a steal of home by Francis Griffin, , an RBI single by Chris Miguel, and a groundout by Sean Goodall.

Trevin Haseltine recorded his first win of the year for the California Warriors. He allowed one run over three innings. Haseltine struck out two, walked one and gave up four hits.

Colin Spencer couldn't get it done on the mound for the Nevada Big Horns, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked seven, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
