An impressive effort by N Perez spurred the Solano Mudcats to an 11-6 win over the Sacramento Heat (7-11) on Tuesday at Will C. Wood.

Perez blasted two home runs for the Solano Mudcats. Perez went 2-4 in the game with four RBIs and three runs scored. Perez homered in the fifth and eighth innings.

Donnie Gardner handled the Sacramento Heat's lineup with ease, racking up six strikeouts. Gardner allowed three earned runs, three hits and four walks over seven innings.

Wade Brill racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Sacramento Heat. He singled in the third inning and tripled in the seventh inning.

Jesse Savage improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Solano Mudcats. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Jack Shelledy (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked one and struck out three.
