Four first-inning runs helped the Top Speed Baseball (44-7) to a 6-2 win over the California Warriors (28-22) at Albert Park on Monday.
The Top Speed Baseball scored in the first on a two-run single by Wes Koenig, a two-run single by Koenig, and a two-run double by Josh Egan.
Koenig racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Top Speed Baseball.
The California Warriors couldn't get anything going as long as Ryan Eddy was pitching. The California Warriors managed just one hit off of Eddy, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out six during his four innings of work.
Bryan Bostjancic (1-1) took the loss for the California Warriors. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
