The Marysville Goldsox refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Top Speed Baseball (24-4), recording a 15-2 victory on Friday at Appeal-Democrat Park.

Ten runs in the first three innings allowed the Marysville Goldsox to put the game away early.

An RBI single by Olson, an RBI single by MJ Farthing, an error, and a two-run double by Tommy Linneger during the first inning and an RBI double by Kelly Starnes and an RBI single by Olson in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Marysville Goldsox.

Starnes racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Marysville Goldsox.

Ben Brooks got the win for the Marysville Goldsox thanks to nine strikeouts. Brooks allowed two earned runs, 11 hits and two walks over nine innings.

Ransom LaLonde was hot from the plate for the Top Speed Baseball. LaLonde went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third and seventh innings.

Ryan Eddy (3-1) took the loss for the Top Speed Baseball. He allowed seven runs in one inning, walked two and struck out one.
