A magnificent effort by Zach Johnson spurred the Edmonds (26-4) to a 2-0 win in eight innings over the Skagit Valley (10-16) on Friday at Skagit Valley.
Despite the loss, the Skagit Valley's JAVIER VILLANUEVA dominated the Edmonds' batters, giving up two runs and striking out six.
Johnson recorded his sixth win of the year for the Edmonds. He struck out nine, walked one and surrendered no hits.
VILLANUEVA was charged with his third loss of the year.
