Kalamar helps the Washington Wild Things down the Gateway Grizzlies 4-2

Scott Kalamar went 1-3 and hit a home run, helping the Washington Wild Things (50-34) to a 4-2 victory over the Gateway Grizzlies (47-38) on Friday at CONSOL Energy Park.

He homered in the third inning.

Troy Marks put together a nice outing. The Gateway Grizzlies managed just three hits off of the the Washington Wild Things' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out four during his six innings of work.

Landon Hernandez did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Gateway Grizzlies, reaching base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the second inning.

Luke Westphal brought the heat against the Washington Wild Things during his outing. Westphal held the Washington Wild Things hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Tucker Jensen was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
