Patrick McKenna racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Normal CornBelters. He homered in the second inning and singled in the first and sixth innings.
Seth Webster recorded his sixth win for the Schaumburg Boomers even though he allowed five runs over six innings. Webster struck out five, walked none and gave up 10 hits.
Stephen Frey ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
