He homered in the second inning and tripled in the fourth inning.Josh Smoker had an impressive outing against the Joliet Slammers' lineup. Smoker held the Joliet Slammers hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
Kyle Hassna improved to 2-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Rockford Aviators. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out five, walked one and surrendered nine hits.
Ethan Carter ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked none and struck out one.
