Kyle Brueggemann hopes every outing could go as well as Tuesday, as Brueggemann tossed a shutout to carry the Rockford Aviators (33-49) to a 6-0 victory over the Joliet Slammers (31-51) at Silver Cross Field.
Brueggemann held the Joliet Slammers scoreless during his nine innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on five hits while ringing up seven.
The Rockford Aviators blew out the Joliet Slammers thanks to 13 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Rockford Aviators scored three runs in the seventh on the Rockford Aviators scored in the seventh on an RBI single by Edgar Corcino and a two-run single by Kalaika Kahoohalahala.
