The Normal CornBelters (39-39) continued to pile up the runs on Friday, scoring seven runs in the last three innings, en route to an easy 20-7 win over the Rockford Aviators (32-47) at Aviator Stadium.
The Normal CornBelters scored five runs in the seventh on the Normal CornBelters scored in the seventh on a single by Patrick McKenna, a solo home run by Mike Schwartz, a solo home run by Sam Judah, an RBI single by Chris Hueth, a sacrifice fly by Ozney Guillen, and a two-run single by Tyler Shover.
Guillen racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Normal CornBelters.
Edgar Corcino racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Rockford Aviators. He singled in the third inning and homered in the fifth inning.
Michael Schweiss got his fourth win for the Normal CornBelters despite allowing five runs over 5 2/3 innings. Schweiss struck out five, walked two and gave up eight hits.
Nick Grim (0-3) took the loss for the Rockford Aviators. He allowed nine runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out three.
