The Gateway Grizzlies (42-28) beat the Normal CornBelters (34-35) 4-3 but needed 10 innings to do so on Friday at GCS Ballpark.

With the score tied at three, Michael Wing came to the plate and singled, scoring Michael Johnson.

Landon Hernandez led the Gateway Grizzlies' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the second inning and homered in the fourth inning.

Sam Judah had a hot bat for the Normal CornBelters. Judah went 2-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Chris DeBoo improved to 5-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Gateway Grizzlies. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Jason Postill ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
