The Rockford Aviators (30-40) beat the Lake Erie Crushers (38-32) 6-4 on Wednesday at Aviators Stadium behind Ryan Breen, who went 1-3 and hit a home run.

Ryan Hutchison was hot from the plate for the Lake Erie Crushers. Hutchison went 2-4 and scored two runs. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the seventh inning.

The Rockford Aviators couldn't get anything going as long as Brant Masters was pitching. Masters held the Rockford Aviators hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Ryan Zimmerman improved to 6-4 on the year by picking up the win for the Rockford Aviators. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered six hits.

Jordan McCoy (1-1) took the loss for the Lake Erie Crushers. He lasted just zero innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
