Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Monday as the Gateway Grizzlies (41-28) outscored the Windy City ThunderBolts (25-43) 10-9 in eight innings.
The two teams combined for 29 hits in the game.
Michael Johnson racked up five RBIs on four hits for the Gateway Grizzlies. He singled in the second and fourth innings, doubled in the sixth inning, and tripled in the seventh inning.
Ryan Tufts racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He singled in the first, fourth, sixth, and seventh innings.
Tucker Jensen recorded his seventh win for the Gateway Grizzlies even though he allowed five runs over 6 2/3 innings. Jensen struck out eight, walked two and gave up 10 hits.
Travis Tingle (6-5) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked three and struck out 10.
