The bats were busy at UC Health Stadium on Monday, and when the dust cleared the Florence Freedom (27-40) had an 11-9 win over the Traverse City Beach Bums (27-42).

The teams totaled 23 hits in the game.

Adam Taylor racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Florence Freedom. He homered in the second inning and singled in the fifth and sixth innings.

The Traverse City Beach Bums had no answer for Jorge Marban, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Marban held the Traverse City Beach Bums hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Chris Cowell racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He homered in the sixth inning.

Rusty Shellhorn (4-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in one inning, walked two and struck out none.
