An excellent effort by Daniel Cropper lifted the Windy City ThunderBolts (25-41) to a 5-1 win over the Gateway Grizzlies (39-28) on Saturday at Standard Bank Stadium.

Cropper picked up the win for the Windy City ThunderBolts. Cropper allowed one earned run, three hits and three walks while striking out seven over nine innings of work.

Dejai Oliver pitched lights out for the Gateway Grizzlies. Oliver gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Andrew Aizenstadt ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
