A walk-off solo blast from Patrick McKenna brought home the winning run for the Normal CornBelters (32-34) in a 4-3 victory over the Rockford Aviators (29-38) in 10 innings at The Corn Crib on Saturday.
McKenna had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the eighth innings and homered in the tenth inning.
Eric Anderson put together a nice outing. Anderson held the Rockford Aviators hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.
Jason Postill improved to 5-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Normal CornBelters. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered one hit.
Eric Cendejas (0-2) took the loss for the Rockford Aviators. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
