Adam Giacalone went 2-4 and hit a home run as the Joliet Slammers (25-38) took home a 3-1 victory over the Traverse City Beach Bums (24-39) at Wuerfel Park on Tuesday.

Kody McFarland baffled the Traverse City Beach Bums, striking out eight batters. McFarland allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks over 6 2/3 innings.

Casey Delgado was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Joliet Slammers batters and allowing one run.

Jordan Wellander recorded his fourth win of the year for the Joliet Slammers. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Chuck Ghysels (1-1) took the loss for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
