A walk-off from Niko Vasquez brought home the winning run for the Southern Illinois Miners (37-25) in a 4-3 victory over the Florence Freedom (25-35) in 12 innings at Rent One Park, Marion, IL on Monday.

Vasquez racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Southern Illinois Miners. He singled in the third and eleventh innings.

Steve Marino racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Southern Illinois Miners. He homered in the second inning and singled in the twelfth inning.

Britt Robertshaw improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Southern Illinois Miners. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Daniel DeSimone couldn't get it done on the mound for the Florence Freedom, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed one run.
