The Windy City ThunderBolts (22-36) scored two runs in the eighth to cap an 8-2 win over the Joliet Slammers (22-37) on Friday.

The Windy City ThunderBolts scored in the eighth on an RBI single by Kyle Robinson and an RBI single by Ryan Soares.

Soares racked up four RBIs on five hits for the Windy City ThunderBolts.

Jessie Snodgrass had an impressive outing against the Joliet Slammers' lineup. Snodgrass held the Joliet Slammers hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one.

Russell Moldenhauer racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Joliet Slammers. He homered in the sixth inning.

Travis Tingle got the win, running his season record to 6-3. He allowed two runs over 6 2/3 innings. He struck out six, walked one and surrendered eight hits.

Matt Crim (0-1) took the loss for the Joliet Slammers. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out seven, and allowed four runs.
