The bats were busy at GCS Ballpark on Friday, and when the dust cleared the Evansville Otters (35-22) had a 10-8 win over the Gateway Grizzlies (37-23) in 10 innings.

The two teams combined for 28 hits in the game.

Cory Urquhart had two extra-base hits for the Evansville Otters. He doubled in the sixth inning, homered in the eighth inning, and singled in the fourth and tenth innings.

Orlando Santos improved to 4-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Evansville Otters. He allowed two runs over 1 2/3 innings. Santos struck out two, walked one and gave up three hits.

Richard Barrett (2-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.

The Evansville Otters' J.R. Higley, John Schultz and Urquhart combined for eight hits and seven RBIs.
