The Florence Freedom (25-32) didn't put up much of a fight on Friday, as the Rockford Aviators (26-33) cruised to a blowout 8-2 win at UC Health Stadium.

Dusty Robinson was hot from the plate for the Rockford Aviators. Robinson went 2-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the seventh inning and homered in the ninth inning.

Joey Wagman struck out nine, paving the way for a the Rockford Aviators win. Wagman allowed one earned run on four hits and two walks over seven innings.

A bright spot for the Florence Freedom in the defeat was Ed Kohout, who allowed only zero runs while striking out six.

Peter Gehle was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out two.
