Brian Hansen collected three hits, sparking the River City Rascals (36-21) to a 9-6 victory over the Rockford Aviators (25-32) on Wednesday at Aviator Stadium.

Tanner Witt racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Rockford Aviators. He homered in the third inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Michael Schaub pitched lights out for the Rockford Aviators. The River City Rascals managed just one hit off of Schaub, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Even though Tommy Mendoza allowed six runs over 8 1/3 innings he still recorded the victory, his fourth of the season. Mendoza struck out six, walked two and gave up 12 hits.

Josh Slaats was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked three and struck out one.
