A gem on the mound by Preston Olson wasn't enough to carry the Evansville Otters (30-21) to a win on Saturday, as the Evansville Otters fell to the Southern Illinois Miners (31-22) 5-4 at Bosse Field in 11 innings.

Olson baffled the Southern Illinois Miners, striking out 12 batters. Olson allowed two earned runs, two hits and three walks over 7 2/3 innings.

Britt Robertshaw recorded his second win of the year for the Southern Illinois Miners. Robertshaw struck out none, walked three and gave up two hits.

Anthony Collazo (0-2) took the loss for the Evansville Otters. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
