Alex Phillips held the Normal CornBelters (26-24) scoreless for six innings to boost the Traverse City Beach Bums (21-30) to a 4-0 victory.

Phillips allowed six hits, one walk and struck out three.

The Traverse City Beach Bums came out swinging, scoring three runs in the first inning to jump ahead of the Normal CornBelters early. The Traverse City Beach Bums scored in the first on a two-run home run by Sean Gusrang and an RBI double by Jovan Rosa.

Gusrang racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Traverse City Beach Bums.

Cullen Babin couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Normal CornBelters, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked four, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
