Kyle Brueggemann kept the Southern Illinois Miners (24-21) off the board during his eight innings of work and the Rockford Aviators (20-23) beat the Southern Illinois Miners, 1-0.

Brueggemann struck out six and allowed no walks and seven hits.

Tanner Witt was solid at the plate for the Rockford Aviators. Witt went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Tyler Lavigne (3-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed one run.
