The River City Rascals (27-17) beat the Gateway Grizzlies (31-15) 3-1 on Saturday at GCS Ballpark behind Josh Ludy, who went 1-2 and hit a home run.
He homered in the fifth inning.The Gateway Grizzlies had no answer for Tim Koons, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Gateway Grizzlies managed just one hit off of Koons, who allowed one earned run, walked four and struck out six during his seven innings of work.
Kerry Kelley couldn't get it done on the bump for the Gateway Grizzlies, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
