The River City Rascals (26-16) and the Traverse City Beach Bums (15-27) both had scoring chances on Thursday, but it was the River City Rascals that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 7-6 win at Wuerfel Park.

Hector Crespo racked up two RBIs on two hits for the River City Rascals. He singled in the second inning and tripled in the sixth inning.

Greg Harisis was solid at the plate for the Traverse City Beach Bums. Harisis went 3-5, drove in one and scored three runs. He singled in the third and fifth innings and homered in the seventh inning.

Tommy Organ improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the River City Rascals. Organ struck out two, walked none and gave up one hit.

Scott Vachon was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
