Adam Giacalone racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Joliet Slammers. He homered in the eighth inning.
Brett Zawacki pitched lights out for the Joliet Slammers. Zawacki held the River City Rascals hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
The River City Rascals were led by Evan Crawford's hitting. Crawford went 2-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the second inning and singled in the seventh inning.
Jordan Wellander improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Joliet Slammers. He allowed one run over one-third of an inning. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered two hits.
Kyle Brady was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
