The Normal CornBelters (16-17) didn't stand a chance on Wednesday, as the Windy City ThunderBolts (14-20) captured a blowout 14-7 win at The Corn Crib.

The Windy City ThunderBolts scored seven runs in the third on the Windy City ThunderBolts scored in the third on an error, an RBI single by Doug Joyce, a two-run triple by Jon Mestas, a two-run double by Kyle Robinson, and an RBI single by Evan Button.

Robinson racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Windy City ThunderBolts.

Travis Tingle picked up the win for the Windy City ThunderBolts. Tingle allowed two earned runs, five hits and no walks while striking out three over six innings of work.

Jhiomar Veras racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Normal CornBelters. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Mike Devine (0-1) took the loss for the Normal CornBelters. He allowed nine runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out three.
