Garrett Rau went 2-4 and hit a home run as the Washington Wild Things (21-13) took home an 8-5 victory over the Traverse City Beach Bums (13-21) at CONSOL Energy Park on Tuesday.
He singled in the first inning and homered in the second inning.Zac Fuesser picked up the win for the Washington Wild Things. Fuesser pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk while striking out five.
Jeff DeBlieux boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace the Traverse City Beach Bums. He singled in the second and ninth innings.
Ian MacDougall was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked one and struck out three.
