The Gateway Grizzlies (32-16) beat the River City Rascals (27-18) 5-2 in seven innings on Sunday at T. R. Hughes Ballpark behind Michael Wing, who collected three hits.

Hector Crespo led the River City Rascals' offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fifth inning.

Aaron Newcomb improved to 7-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Gateway Grizzlies. He allowed two runs over five innings. Newcomb struck out four, walked three and gave up four hits.

Ray Hanson (4-1) took the loss for the River City Rascals. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
