Adam Giacalone reached base two times in the game for the Joliet Slammers. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the second inning.

The Joliet Slammers relied on Andrew Busby to eat up innings en route to the win. Busby allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks while striking out three over seven innings of work.

Eric Williams led the River City Rascals' offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He singled in the third, sixth, and ninth innings.
