The Traverse City Beach Bums (8-11) and the Frontier Greys (3-17) both had scoring chances on Friday, but it was the Traverse City Beach Bums that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 10-5 win at Wuerfel Park.

Rob Benedict racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He homered in the fourth inning, doubled in the seventh inning, and singled in the eighth inning.

Matt Chavez rocked the Traverse City Beach Bums with two home runs. Chavez went 2-4 in the game with two RBIs and two runs scored. Chavez homered in the second and eighth innings.

Tanner Tripp improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered 11 hits.

Keith Picht ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked six and struck out two.
