Wednesday was a great day for Joey Wagman, as Wagman threw a shutout to carry the Rockford Aviators (5-6) to a 1-0 victory over the Florence Freedom (5-6) at Aviator Stadium in seven innings.

Wagman held the Florence Freedom scoreless during his seven innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out nine.

Casey Henn (0-1) took the loss for the Florence Freedom. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out five, and allowed one run.
