The River City Rascals (5-4) outlasted the Gateway Grizzlies (8-2) at T. R. Hughes Ballpark 4-3 on Saturday after 14 innings.

With the score tied at three, Evan Crawford came to the plate and singled, scoring Taylor Ard.

Josh Ludy had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the second inning, homered in the fourth inning, and singled in the sixth innings.

Ray Hanson baffled the Gateway Grizzlies, striking out six batters. Hanson allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk over six innings.

Madison Beaird reached base three times in the game for the Gateway Grizzlies. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the sixth inning and homered in the eighth inning.

Gabriel Shaw improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the River City Rascals. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Luke Westphal was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
