Ryan OMalley drove in four runs, helping the South Bay Storm (18-13) to a 9-5 victory over the California Warriors (21-13) on Friday at San Francisco University.
He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the third and sixth innings.Ross Slaney kept contact to a minimum, striking out 12 the California Warriors batters. Slaney allowed two earned runs, six hits and three walks over seven innings.
Max Gamboa ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
