The Nevada Big Horns (7-14) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 4-1 to the South Bay Storm (11-7) on Sunday.

A two-run error gave the South Bay Storm the lead in the fifth inning.

Kavin Patel went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the South Bay Storm. He singled in the third and sixth innings.

The Nevada Big Horns couldn't get anything going as long as Con Dempsey was pitching. Dempsey gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Eric James (1-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
