Brian Hamm went 2-4 as the Alameda Merchants (24-22) took home a 6-3 victory over the Humboldt Crabs at Arcata Ballpark on Thursday.
He singled in the third and fourth innings.Gunnar David had an impressive outing against the Humboldt Crabs' lineup. David held the Humboldt Crabs hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.
McCasland racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Humboldt Crabs. He singled in the first inning and homered in the fifth inning.
Michael Pope improved to 1-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Alameda Merchants. Pope struck out three, walked one and gave up five hits.
Rodriguez was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
