The bats were busy at Recreation Park on Sunday, and when the dust cleared the Alameda Merchants (11-14) had a 12-8 win over the Healdsburg Prune Packers (14-10) in eight innings.
The two teams combined for 26 hits in the game.
JR Davis racked up two RBIs on four hits for the Alameda Merchants. He doubled in the seventh inning and singled in the second, third, and eighth innings.
Daniel Reitzler brought the heat against the Healdsburg Prune Packers during his outing. Reitzler held the Healdsburg Prune Packers hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five.
Anthony Bender was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
