The Alameda Merchants (10-12) and the California Warriors (14-10) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Alameda Merchants that eventually took advantage of them in a 3-2 win at Marin Catholic HS.

Jordan Grubbs racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Alameda Merchants. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Andrew Herrera handled the California Warriors' lineup with ease, racking up eight strikeouts. Herrera allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks over five innings.

The Alameda Merchants had no answer for Matt Ladrech, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Alameda Merchants managed just four hits off of Ladrech, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out none during his five innings of work.
