A walk-off single from Nick Allman brought home the winning run for the Alameda Merchants (8-11) in a 14-13 victory over the Atwater Aviators (8-12) at College of Alameda on Tuesday.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 27 total runs and 33 hits during the game. Relief pitchers got their fill of innings during the game, with the opposing managers using nine pitchers in total.

Andrew Hobson racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Alameda Merchants. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the sixth and seventh innings.

Gunnar David improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Alameda Merchants. He allowed one run over two innings. David struck out two, walked one and gave up no hits.

David Torigoe (0-1) took the loss for the Atwater Aviators. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.

The Alameda Merchants hammered the Atwater Aviators pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 15 hits, nine RBIs and nine runs scored.
