Saturday was a great day for Curran, as Curran threw seven scoreless innings to carry the Redding Colt 45s to a 7-1 victory over the Alameda Merchants at Tiger Field.

The biggest inning for the Redding Colt 45s was the first. The Redding Colt 45s' bats caught fire leading to four runs. The Redding Colt 45s scored in the first on a fielder's choice, an RBI single by Bickerstaff, and a two-run single by Flaherty.

Gust reached base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fifth inning.

Robb Woodcock was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
