The Douglas (8-12) beat the Shoreline (5-18) 6-4 in seven innings on Saturday at Whalley Little League Park behind Jeff Bouchard, who had two extra base hits.
He tripled in the fifth inning and doubled in the sixth inning.Matt Trimble recorded his third win of the year for the Douglas. He allowed four runs over 5 2/3 innings. Trimble struck out eight, walked three and gave up seven hits.
Mitch Mondor couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Shoreline, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked three and struck out three.
The Douglas were sparked by Tyler Yorko and Bouchard, who teamed up for five hits and five RBIs.
