The Okotoks Dawgs (21-21) took home a 12-3 victory over the Yorkton Cardinals (18-24) on Friday at Seaman Stadium, fueled by four runs in the eighth inning.
The Okotoks Dawgs scored in the eighth on a sacrifice fly by Jordan Peterson, a two-run single by Liam Stroud, a double by Ross Barker, an error, and a fielder's choice.
Barker racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Okotoks Dawgs.
Georgie Santiago was solid at the plate for the Yorkton Cardinals. Santiago went 3-4 and scored one run. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fourth and eighth innings.
Jon Richards improved to 5-4 on the year by picking up the win for the Okotoks Dawgs. He allowed three runs over seven innings. Richards struck out three, walked one and gave up nine hits.
Jeff Pool (2-4) took the loss for the Yorkton Cardinals. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
