John Pistulka went 3-3 at the plate, helping the Weyburn Beavers (10-16) to a 6-3 victory over the Yorkton Cardinals (9-16) on Wednesday at Jubilee Park.

He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the second and eighth innings.

Dylan Deavey allowed one earned run, five hits and three walks while striking out five over 6 2/3 innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Yorkton Cardinals' Cole Roark dominated the Weyburn Beavers' batters, giving up one run and striking out 10.

Matthew Kinney recorded his first win of the year for the Weyburn Beavers. He allowed two runs over 1 1/3 innings. Kinney struck out none, walked one and gave up three hits.

Easton Etter (0-1) took the loss for the Yorkton Cardinals. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
