Shawn Andersen hopes every outing could go as well as Monday, as Andersen struck out seven batters to carry the Douglas (4-8) to a 2-1 victory over the Everett (7-9) at Whalley Little League Park in eight innings.

Jeff Bouchard was hot from the plate for the Douglas. Bouchard went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Despite the loss, the Everett's Michael Wood dominated the Douglas' batters, giving up two runs and striking out nine.

Wood (3-2) was the game's losing pitcher.
