Michael Wood kept the Pierce (10-9) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Everett (8-12) beat the Pierce, 2-0.

Wood allowed six hits, five walks and struck out five.

The Everett were led by Kyle Nobach's hitting. Nobach went 3-5 and drove in one. He singled in the first and fifth innings and tripled in the seventh inning.

Cobi Beal pitched nine innings and allowed one earned run, nine hits and one walk while striking out one.

Beal couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Pierce, taking a loss.
