The Chemeketa (18-18) and the Lane (21-14) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Chemeketa that eventually took advantage of them in an 8-7 win at Chemeketa Baseball Stadium.
Gerhett Moser had a hot bat for the Chemeketa. Moser went 2-5 and scored one run. He singled in the third and sixth innings.
Darin Nelson was solid at the plate for the Lane. Nelson went 3-5 and scored two runs. He doubled in the eighth inning and singled in the second and ninth innings.
Alex Emerson got his second win for the Chemeketa despite allowing six runs over 3 1/3 innings. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered five hits.
Jeff Hardy (5-3) took the loss for the Lane. He allowed seven runs in three innings, walked one and struck out three.
