A walk-off single from Ty Holm brought home the winning run for the Seattle (WA) Studs (5-0) in a 4-3 victory over the Clarinda (IA) As in 12 innings at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium on Thursday.
The Seattle (WA) Studs were led by Holm's hitting. Holm went 2-6, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the twelfth inning.
Terik Gofinch improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Seattle (WA) Studs. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered no hits.
Quentin Mansfield was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
