Garrett Wiese went 2-4, helping the Medicine Hat Mavericks (5-0) to a 7-4 victory over the Okotoks Dawgs (3-4) on Wednesday at Jefferies Park.

Jacob Webb looked sharp on the mound. Webb held the Okotoks Dawgs hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

The Medicine Hat Mavericks' lineup had no answer for Jamie Wilson. The Medicine Hat Mavericks managed just one hit off of Wilson, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Ryan Castadio got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed three runs over five innings. Castadio struck out eight, walked two and gave up five hits.

Aaron Conyers couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Okotoks Dawgs, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out one.
